Nylon
Nylon’s combination of high tensile strength and low friction makes it ideal for precision gears, bearings, and wear pads in machinery. Its ability to dampen vibration and resist chemical attack also sees it used in pump impellers and valve components in aggressive environments.
Additionally, nylon is processed into monofilament lines for fishing and netting, where its abrasion resistance and tensile toughness ensure reliability under repeated stress and exposure to UV.
